Adilam is proud to welcome State Library South Australia as a new Arcus customer, beginning with the installation of a new four-upright, three-aisle Arcus security gate system at the Research Library.

The project follows the reopening of the Research Library and the co-location of the City of Adelaide Library within the State Library precinct, creating a unique environment where state and public lending collections operate side by side.

Adilam was selected to support this complexity with a cloud-first Arcus RFID solution. The new security system is designed to behave intelligently, alarming only when unborrowed State Library South Australia items pass through, while allowing non-SLSA materials to move without triggering unnecessary alerts.

This first stage will be followed by a full RFID implementation, including the first-time tagging of the collection with 96,000 RFID tags. It marks the beginning of an important partnership with one of Australia’s most significant cultural institutions, and a strong example of the flexibility and customisation Arcus can deliver.
