Arcus Self-Leveling Bins

Smart  ·  Versatile  ·  Ergonomic

Arcus Self-Leveling Bins are lightweight and ergonomic item transports. The motorised base of the Bin gently rises and lowers automatically as library material is added or removed, ensuring that items do not fall far down into the Bin and are always within easy reach when unloading. This dramatically improves staff OH&S. By using a computer vision system to detect the height of the pile, both heavy and light items stay easily within reach at the top – unlike classic spring-loaded systems which need to be individually tuned to the weight of different types of items.

BEST PRACTICE

Enhanced OH&S

Arcus Self-Leveling Bins are designed to prioritise staff OH&S. By automatically raising and lowering the base of the Bin, items are always kept within easy reach – staff never need to lean over to retrieve items.

CHANGE AND ADAPT

Multiple Modes

All Bins can operate in multiple modes. A short press of the control button will toggle between modes. In Standard mode, the Bin lifts and lowers as usual. In Unload mode, the Bin will only lift – guaranteeing a safe emptying process for staff. In Transport mode, the base lowers as far as it will go, lowering the Bin’s centre of gravity and ensuring easy transport around or between libraries.

SET AND FORGET

Live Monitoring

When docked, Arcus Self-Leveling Bins transmit live activity and fullness levels. Staff can remotely monitor Bin fullness via the Arcus Staff Interface in their browser, or via a Live Wall Display. Staff can keep an eye on a Bin – even one completely outside the library – without needing to physically check, freeing them up to focus on your customers.

SMART COMMS

Automated Alerts

Arcus Self-Leveling Bins track how full they are. You decide what counts as ‘full’ – staff can receive automatic email alerts when Bins reach arbitrary fullness levels, such as 50%, 80% and 100% full.

USEFUL AND BEAUTIFUL

Helpful and Expressive

Enhance the operation of your Arcus Self-Leveling Bins with embedded E-Ink displays. These helpful screens show fullness level, Bin mode, status and battery level. When docked to an Arcus AMHS Machine, it will show live collection information for that sorting destination. Embed your Bins in your Council brand identity by skinning them in expressive vinyl wraps.
