New Arcus AMHS Machine at Rosanna Library
Adilam has completed the installation and commissioning of an Arcus Automated Materials Handling Sorting Machine at the new Rosanna Library, delivered as part of a tightly coordinated build programme.
The system was planned in detail with the project architects, builders, and the library team to align precisely with the purpose-built sorting room. Clearances, workflows, service access, and potential future growth were considered from day one.
Key features of the installation include:
- A five-bin Arcus AMHS Machine with a custom sorting ruleset tailored to Rosanna’s collection and workflows
- An external secure return chute supporting 24/7 after-hours returns
- An additional internal return chute and dedicated bin for in-library returns
- A live wall display providing real-time visibility of sorter status, bin fill levels, and activity
Arcus is designed for speed, accuracy, reliability, and flexibility. The system operates continuously, requires minimal manual intervention, and can run unattended around the clock, including in complete darkness.
The finished library is an exceptional space, and this project reflects a strong, collaborative effort with our partners at Yarra Plenty Regional Library – congratulations to the entire YPRL team and enjoy using your new sorter!
