Arcus Flow People Counting goes live at Douglas Shire
Adilam has rolled out Arcus Flow People Counting at Douglas Shire Libraries, with new counters now live at both Port Douglas Library and Mossman Library.
Two Arcus Flow devices were supplied, with one installed at each location by the local library team. Commissioning was completed remotely by Adilam’s Arcus technicians, enabling a smooth, low-disruption, low-cost deployment.
Arcus Flow delivers a step change in people-counting capability for public libraries, where accuracy is a critical KPI used for reporting, funding, and service planning. Key benefits include:
- Substantially improved counting accuracy compared with legacy line-break or 3D radar systems
- A discreet, ceiling-mounted form factor that integrates cleanly into public spaces
- Rich, accessible reporting to support evidence-based decision-making
- Access to the Arcus Flow API, providing a live occupancy count for every location
Live occupancy data may inform a potential visitor’s decision to visit the library.
This project demonstrates how Arcus Flow can be deployed quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively, combining local installation with remote commissioning to deliver the reliable, high-quality, future-ready solution libraries need to maximise value for their community.
